What we collect

Enquiry forms: name, business name, trade, phone number and any message you choose to write.
Email correspondence: your email address and what you tell us.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, via cookies and similar technologies (see our cookie policy).

How and why we use it

To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote (legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract).
To deliver our services if you become a client (contract).
To measure and improve the website and our advertising (legitimate interests).
To meet legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run the site and our business, such as hosting, email, CRM and analytics or advertising platforms (for example Google and Meta). They process data only on our instructions or under their own terms. We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some providers are based outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to work are kept for up to 12 months. Client records are kept for the length of the relationship plus six years for accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to its use, or request a portable copy. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@tradesmith.uk and we'll respond within one month.
